Agriculture

The approximately 340 hectares of plains and low hills are cultivated according to the centuries-old crop rotation method and guarantee all the forage, corn and barley for breeding: alfalfa, sorghum and triticale maize silage, wheat and sunflower.

The farm has chosen to adhere to the agri-environmental measures provided for in the European rural development plans, for the reduction of fertilizers and pesticides and therefore for a more sustainable agriculture.

This strategy makes it possible to make effective and virtuous use of the manure produced by livestock breeding, which according to a natural cycle returns to where the land has supplied the food.
